Pilates with machines in Alicante
Tone your body with precision and no impact
At Pilates House we welcome you to a new idea of wellbeing based on machine Pilates in Alicante. Our centre specialises in Reformer Pilates, a discipline that completely transforms traditional Pilates through machines designed to work the whole body in a safe and highly effective way.
The Reformer has a sliding platform, springs and pulleys that let you adapt the resistance to your fitness level, achieving the perfect balance of strength, control and lengthening. The result? A deeper workout, especially suited to anyone who wants to tone up without impact, correct their posture, gain flexibility and prevent injuries.
People often ask us whether Pilates is better with or without machines. It depends on your goal: if you’re after faster, more visible results, machine Pilates in Alicante is ideal. After 3-4 weeks of practising 2 or 3 times a week, you’ll start to notice visible improvements: a firmer body, better alignment and a feeling of lightness.
The Reformer also lets you adjust the intensity without lifting conventional weights, working with just the right resistance to activate the deep muscles, improve core stability and define your muscles without overloading your joints.
If you’re looking for machine Pilates in Alicante, at Pilates House we offer personalised classes, a professional atmosphere and the Pilates method, designed so you feel the change from the very first session.

Precision, control and visible results
At Pilates House we specialise in machine Pilates, and specifically the Reformer system, a remarkable tool that turns traditional practice into a much more complete and efficient experience. With its springs, pulleys and sliding platform, the Reformer allows low-impact but high-intensity training, ideal for improving posture, muscle strength, flexibility and balance.
Unlike mat Pilates, which mainly works with your body weight, the Reformer adds progressive resistance, allowing deeper core work and greater control in every movement. It isn’t about which is better, but which suits your goals: if you want muscle tone, definition without bulk and faster results, machine Pilates makes the difference.
Physical changes can start to show after 3-4 weeks of regular practice 2 to 3 times a week, although many people feel improvements in their posture and wellbeing from the first session. And yes, Pilates tones! It isn’t just about losing weight, but about reshaping your figure in a balanced, functional way.
Balanced Body
The machines of the classical method
We work with Balanced Body machines: five reformers, five towers and a combination Cadillac, plus the Chair and Barrel.
Reformer
Carriage, springs and pulleys: strength, control and lengthening with no impact.
Tower
Springs from above to lengthen, align and mobilise the spine.
Cadillac
The most complete machine of the method, also for gentler work.
Chair
Balance and leg strength, with your centre always engaged.
Barrel
To mobilise the spine in flexion, extension and side bending.
Consistency and control
Two ideas worth knowing
The 80/20 rule in Pilates
The well-known 80/20 rule in Pilates reminds us that 80% of the results come from consistency and the right approach, rather than occasional intensity. That’s why even 20-minute daily sessions, done well, can be effective when combined with a balanced diet.
Weight in Pilates
On the Reformer you don’t “lift” weights in the traditional way: the spring resistance is adjusted so you work with control and without impact, adapting the difficulty to your level.

About the machines
Is Pilates better with or without machines?
It depends on your goal. The machines add progressive resistance and guide the movement; at Pilates House we combine mat work and machines in every class.
When will I see results?
Practising 2 to 3 times a week, many people notice changes after 3-4 weeks, and feel their posture and wellbeing improve from the first sessions.
Do you lift weights on the reformer?
Not like in a gym: we adjust the spring resistance so you work with control and without impact, adapted to your level.
Do I need any experience?
No. If you’ve never used the machines, you start with the Welcome Pack to learn how to set up safely.
